A short film based on the homonymous text by the sociologist Jean-Yves Petiteau. This itinerary follows the life of Jean Bricard, the manager of a sand extraction company who had fought the nazis during WWII, and his historical, geographical and economic comments on the banks of the Loire River and the islands that populate it. The last film Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub made together.
