‘Morada Aberta’ manifests itself in different artistic areas, in different territories and artistic spaces, using video and analogue projections (super 8mm and 16mm) that combine documentary and fictional elements documentary and fictional character. Partly based on the artist's personal history, partly accompanying the daily lives of women from the North, Lower and Upper Minho regions of Portugal, who were historically designated as witches and healers, this is a research and reflection on the notion of illness and healing in a mystical-religious context, and on the reasons that lead people to resort to these modes of healing.
