As usual, the International Competition brings together some of the world's most recognised names in short film and simultaneously showcases works by emerging filmmakers, in a continued commitment to aesthetic crossovers where cinema dialogues with other contemporary artistic fields. Bertrand Mandico and Elina Löwensohn take part together for the first time in the In Focus section, in a joint retrospective on works that have influenced Mandico's artistic vision and Elina's role as a regular actress in his short films.

Also noteworthy are the young directors Laura Ferrés and Yorgos Zois in the New Voices section, with extensive retrospectives and moments of conversation with the public.
