Festival locations
As usual, Curtas de Vila do Conde takes place in the city's usual venues of the same name, the Municipal Theater, the Municipal Auditorium and Solar - Galeria de Arte Cinematográfica.
The Municipal Theater is the imposing home of the Festival, the former Cine-Teatro Neiva. The building has two cinemas, Room 1 with 550 seats and Room 2 with 120 seats, for the presentation of all screenings and film-concerts, the festival box office, the guest office, among other spaces.

In recent years, we have seen a proliferation of artistic pieces that many consider to be cinematographic, but more commonly as videos in any digital format, in which there is a clear recycling, or at least reuse, sometimes of techniques or processes that are somewhat extrinsic - considering that the process can be legitimized because it is their own invention and not someone else's - sometimes of sound and image content belonging to a borrowed memory.
The Cinematic Art Gallery emerged as a result of the Festival's own programming work, which includes projects involving contamination between cinema and contemporary art.
The Cave, along with the Cinematic Art Gallery, also houses emerging names in cinematic art.

For the first 18 editions of the festival, the Municipal Auditorium was the main hall. In 2017, after an eight-year hiatus, it once again hosted the festival. It is currently one of the program spaces, with film screenings, concerts and exhibitions.
