Applications are currently being accepted for the 17th edition of the Euro Connection short film co-production forum. The event is scheduled to take place from February 4th to 5th, 2025, coinciding with the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and its Short Film Market.

This platform seeks to facilitate partnerships between European producers who want to develop co-productions.

Projects must meet the following requirements:

• Animated short film, fiction or creative documentary;

• Up to 30 minutes;

• The project must be partially financed by a third party (external source);

• The team of producers and directors must be looking for co-production partners;

• Filming or production should not begin before June 2025.

  
  

In each participating country, national correspondents are tasked with the collection and evaluation of submitted projects to identify nominees for the final stage. A European jury, comprising three professionals from the industry, subsequently selects a maximum of 12 projects from the pool of finalists. The chosen finalists are then extended invitations to present their projects in Clermont-Ferrand. Notification of the selected projects will be conveyed by the conclusion of November 2024.

The invitation includes a travel grant (160 euros) for the producer, accommodation (4 nights), meal vouchers, an online script session, pitch training, pitching sessions, one-to-one meetings, access to social events and networking opportunities.

Producers must send their short film projects by October 20th, 2024 to their country's representative. In Portugal, all submissions should be sent to:

XR Projects – NEW
This year, four XR projects will be selected for their inaugural presentation at Euro Connection. Producers from all EU countries who wish to present an XR/VR/AR project are required to submit their applications online via a designated form.
